Does one need a Driver's license to use a moped / scooter in Australia?

Is it hard to acquire a moped or scooter license? If lessons are required, what is the duration and cost of said lessons? If I were to buy a scooter new in Australia what is the average cost? If used but not abused what would be the Cost? What is a good store that advertises on the web to buy camping equipment in Sydney Australia? Answer:
There are different laws around the country. In Queensland we are able to ride a 50cc scooter on our regular car licence. The cost of a 50cc scooter brand new would range from about $2000 upwards. Anything over 50cc we need a motorcycle licence In NSW though I think you need a motorcycle licence. You could check with the RTA to confirm.
