What makes a troll a troll & how many different types of trolling is there, what is your favourite type?

    If some consider me a troll.. fair enough... coz i consider some the same ... after yesterdays little carryon... (thanks for asking Sheila..LOL )... carryon ,it just goes to show the stupidity... or envy....of one ..or more contributors. I come here in an attempt to be helpful if I can... discuss Ozzie politics now n then when warrented and to have a laugh if possible.If others do not agree I could not give a rats ...but I do get p!ssed off with the continual dribble from a certain few...once or twice is ok..but relentless racsism and outright UNintelligent ""Questions"".... day after day...gets right up my goat. As you said yesterday Reg... they like to accuse..setup.. point fingers etc... set up clones ... thumbs down..report etc because they can not answer a simple question re Aussie travel .. eg "how to get to Birdsville races? "... not once have I seen these troll wankers here answer that type of question with an informative answer....no... they just carryon when someone who does give an answer that may be helpful to the asker by ranting about multi-accounts etc... you understand having been setup yourself in the past. It appears to me that this "mob of ??? " do not have the guts or the intellect to enter the polictical stage in the real world becoz they fear failure and damnation. . The bottom line is none of this sets a good example to fellow Ozzies or the tourists that may travel to Oz and inject a few dollars into our economy while enjoying our wonderful and diverse country..... The true definition of a troll is just what Sheila said. Those who post inflammatory statements or question which are designed to get a rise out of people. Reporter trolls are not really trolls at all, they are just people who report. I'm definitely a troll. I am guilty of posting for the sole purpose of getting a rise out of people. My least favourite type of troll is the troll who posts racist or bigoted questions in an effort to be funny. Often they are not really asking for information but rather, putting some bigoted statement into the form of a question. There are definitely funny trolls out there. It's the trolls who troll for humour that i like.

I think the underlying definition is "trying to get a rise out of people", either through positive or negative means. Least favourite - the pimply Americans who ask in the veg section "how should I cook my veal?", or the ones who answer "Bacon" to everything. Definitely no creativity there. I also dislike the inane clones and sock puppets who just clog up the site with rubbish. I do have time for the positive trolls, the ones who use creativity and clever language - the intellectual trolls.

I enjoy the type of troll that is clever and humorous. I detest smarta#s atheist trolls, who wet their pants with excitement when they post stupid uninformed questions trying to bait the christian users. Finally I loath users that post the same stupid question over and over and the racist hate questions. I must admit, I have on occasions posted a question or answer from "under the bridge!"

Trolls troll for attention....and are sociopaths. The worst are when they que up a question that is truly racist or otherwise irritating to see what tempers they can ignite. Answering trolls are the same way by giving an answer that is meant to irritate the asker in one way or another. Once you piff them off...then they can become stalker trolls that may repeatedly thumb you down or report you so that you lose your account. Lol... I think there should be a troll section where there are no "be nice" community rules...and they can troll each other to the death to see who is the most disturbed troll of all... Otherwise, my best advice is to ignore them for they only get their rocks off on a reaction... an ignited temper... Where have the photos gone, Reg?
