Where can I buy Japanese Music/CDs in the Sydney Area?

  • My sister likes this Japanese Boy Band called NewS. And other bands like KAT-TUN, Hey! Say! JUMP, or some band from something she said that's called Johnny's Entertainment? I don't know. I'm looking to buy her some posters/CDs or anything to do with that band for her birthday. But I don't know where to look to buy these kind of stuff. Any suggestions? Or if you know where I can buy? (I can't purchase online, because I don't have a credit card. So, please don't suggest online purchases) Please help. Thank you. =]

    Northbridge has long been the centre of the Japanese expat community and Northbridge Plaza has lots of dedicated Japanese stores. China town might have some but Northbridge is a better bet

Andy all I can suggest to you is to go to Chinatown and start asking shopkeepers where and if such music can be bought. There must be some little shop that can help you, you can buy everything else there. Maybe the phone book can give you a start. If you don't find anything there at least you will have a great lunch.

Kinokuniya Bookstore in the City. Its opposite to Town Hall station and QVB. Its a Japanese bookstore, which also sells CDs and Toys etc. This is probably your best option as it is a very large bookstore. cheers.
