What are some clever ways to keep in touch with friends?

Since I'm going to Austrailia for 10 1/2 months how do i keep in touch with my friends?

  • If any of you saw my first question about my going to Austrailia, you should already know the conditions. But I'm taking my cell and laptop and stuff..but im sure my grandparents wouldnt want me to call long distance every day to keep up with my friends. What are some other ways to contact them?

I didnt see you first question but in case your grandparents have internet access at home, I would make a facebook account and let all your friends know about it. It's the quickest and best way to keep in touch with your friends every day.

Email, facebook, myspace, MSN- many ways ! teach your grandparents how to use a computer before you leave. If all that fails - send them a postcard everyday with your blog on it !

Try Yahoo messenger. Also make sure your cell will work here. I think the frequency is different to US and some other countries.

Teach your grandparents how email works.
