Where is the best place to shop in sydney?

Is there a Harbour Town like place to shop in Sydney?

  • We have Harbour Town in Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth.. But there isn't one in Sydney.. Is there a place similar to this which I could get great bargains for stuff ???

  • Answer:

The historical Rocks area is right on the harbour,.The Rocks is a great place to browse and shop, but I wouldn't expect to find any bargains there. Anywhere on the harbour is expensive. For bargains I would recommend Paddys Market at Haymarket catch the train to Central train station. It's only a five minute walk. opening hours http://www.paddysmarkets.com.au/opening_times.html Paddington market open Saturdays is my favourite see below site for directions and map http://www.visitnsw.com/town/Paddington/Paddington_Markets/info.aspx

Morgan is right, the rocks is the place. The people I was with told me to go into the places look and don't buy. I was taken to the markets that Morgan is talking about, and found the same stuff at basically half the price. I now never shop in the touristy areas.
