Top ten things to see and do in Australia?

  • I plan on using all of your responses to create a list of must-do things for my trip to Australia next year. Also, I'm not much of a beach guy, so please avoid saying things like "scuba dive in the barrier reef", or "go surfing". I primarily want to know what great things there are to do in the cities. And please specify which things are in which cities please. No more than 10 things. Less than 10 is OK too. Thanks!!

Realto tower observation deck & city Shopping, shows - Melbourne 4. Australian war memorial - Canberra 5. Kings Park & Swan Bells - Perth (DNA tower, Federation walk, Botanical gardens, war memorial) 6. Henley-on-Todd yachting regatta - Alice Springs (famous boat race on a dry river bed) 7. Theme parks - Gold Coast (wet n wild, dreamworld, seaworld). 8. Port Arthur historical area - near Hobart. 9. Darling Harbour - Sydney (Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Aquarium, National Maritime Museum) 10. Glass bottom boat ride, great barrier reef - Cairns (also Mission Beach and Port Douglas)
