Whats better for commerce degrees and most degrees; Macquarie uni or UTS?

Which university is better - the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) or Macquarie University?

  • They're both in Sydney, where I live. I know there are more prestigious uni's but I'm just wondering what would you consider better - UTS or Macquarie? UTS's courses require higher UAIs but Macquarie is ranked better. I plan to gain a Bachelor of Arts - which Uni is more suitable? Thanks :)

    UTS is generally more highly regarded by employers as students are required to have a fair bit of work experience before they are allowed to graduate. However, a lot of people are studying parttime at UTS while also working full time so the social side would probably be a lot better at Macquarie! If you cant decide, go with the one that's closer to home so that travelling doesn't chew up your spare time.

I don't rank them any differently. If you can get the marks for UTS and it's closer to home then go there, if Macquarie is closer go there.
