What are some great camping spots in Northern Arizona?

(Australian-NSW-Sydney) Good camping spots?

  • Hi this may be a difficult Thing to ask on YA but anyways. I'm looking for a good camping spot under 3 hours drive from Sydney. I would like it to be: In a excluded area Around bushland A lake/river for fishing. (close to camping grounds of course, right on the bank would be great) Shops not to far away (just in case) If you don;t know any places could you recommend a good site for searching good Australian camping grounds. Thanks, anywhere We can pitch two tents, fish and enjoy nature.

    I would recommend Barrington Tops. I have stayed here http://www.barringtons.com.au/ferndale/ which is a really lovely campsite. Right on the river, in the bush and spread out in such a way you get privacy from other campers. It is about an hours drive to civilization but the drive is very beautiful with amazing views along the way. I would suggest the following places : 1) Glenworth Valley will be good. 2) Wombeyan caves,west of Mittagong. 3) Abercrombie river just west of Tuena. You can many fun things to do in sydney too.
