What is Public Transport like in Sydney?

Any basic Info about travelling from Sydney central to Narrabeen on the weekend using public transport?

  • I am thinking of going to Narrabeen but I will likely be going from Sydney Central raiway area and back . It will be a Saturday. Anyone can give me some basic info as to how to get there using public transport? Is it viable? and how long it likely to take? I am guessing I would catch a ferry to Manly then a bus up north. But is there a long wait between buses (if any) on Saturdays? How late do they run? Any info or links appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Answer:

You can take the L90 bus from Railway Sq, Lee St, stand B and it will take you to Narrabeen to the Cnr of Pittwater Rd & Waterloo St, then beach is then a 450 metre walk. Takes about 1hr 10 mins. Buses run every 20 mins. It would be better if you start from Wynyard station and would cut off about 10-15mins travel time but this depends on the traffic too. Contact 131500 for more info

check the railway website for times for buses and trains and link up-as sometimes on weekends there is railway work being done and not all stations will run a train, they will have buses on standby instead,so your travel will be a lil longer and not as comfortable! hope this helped a little bit! :)
