Acknowledge your customers, a simple smile when they walk in and if they seem interested in something approach them. Be courteous and polite, even when some one is getting under your skin, some people can be so rude. If you have a difficult customer, remain assertive and don't let them affect you, apologise if the situation calls for it. Farewell your customers and wish them a nice day, I personally appreciate this. Good customer service is VERY rare.
