Good places to camp in the north of wales?

Good places to camp in Perth?

  • For my birthday me and a fair few mates, (Ages 14-20) (group of about 10-30 of us) wanna go camping. We usually rent camp sites out, guilderton and mandurah. But we make alot of noise and get roudy and we dont really wanna get kicked out. So do you know any good places to camp, closish to perth (Maybe 3 hours max) we can camp but make a bit of noise? camp sites preferable? (because of toilets)

  • Answer:

Waroona Dam is quite good, it has a lot of trees and quite a lot of room you could probably go closer to the bushes and you may not disturb the other campers. However no toilets or shower amenities there. Dryandra Woodland maybe? Yarragil Campsite in Dwellingup Baden Powell Campground If you check out Serpentine, Dwelligup, Boddington etc you should be able to find camping grounds that aren't very busy. You will find that if you camp in an actual ground with cabins or caravans and facilities that you will get kicked out for noise etc however if you compromise on not having facilities and going to an actual park that allows camping (you will pay a small fee of about $25 per car) they do not get looked after in the sense that an actual camping ground does. It is definitely a proper camping experience and it gives you more freedom to be a little louder as many people bypass this experience for the grounds with electricity and toilets.

Nanga (Lane Poole NP) in Dwellingup has some good camp sites (however making excess noise may get you in trouble, however there are plenty of sites so you might be able to find a quiet place). They may also check your vehicles for excessive alcohol too. Making excess noise at any camp site may cause you trouble, as most sites (with toilets) will not allow this (to an extent) or you may find that fellow campers may tell you off too. Lake Navarino (Waroona) has plenty of space for camping too, and toilets. However again you may find excess noise may get you in trouble.

Look at Wellington Dam near collie, it is a nice spot and it is not a proper camp site, but you are allowed to camp there, so its not illegal. http://www.collierivervalley.org.au/camping.htm The other idea would the the Bibbulmun Track, they have huts and toilets scattered every 10 kilometers by memory, but its free, just research how far you have to work to get to that hut. http://www.bibbulmuntrack.org.au/
