What is the weather like in Sydney during September?

What's the weather like in Australia in September-particularly in Sydney and Perth?

  • I'm planning to go on a trip to Australia in September. I'm gonna spend couple of weeks in the western part and couple in the eastern. However I am wondering weather it will not be too cold to swim? I know it will be just the beginning of spring and I'm not expecting to lay on the beach for days but if it's too cold to swim and enjoy a bit of sun I might think of postponing the whole trip to another year.

  • Answer:

http://www.bom.gov.au/ September's weather can vary - some days you might get it warm enough to swim, but then again it could be jeans weather, it's hard to say for sure as it's right at the beginning of spring. Check out the Bureau of Meteorology website above for past statistics and weather conditions all over the country.
