You need to be more specific, there are Swinburne campuses in Hawthorn, Prahran, Lilydale, Croydon, Wantirna and Healesville. Monash has campuses in Clayton, Caulfield, Berwick, Frankston, Parkville and Churchill. Which campus of Monash are you leaving from and which campus of Swinburne are you going to? It's really difficult to give a useful answer with so many variables, but I'm going to make an assumption based on the sizes of each campus, that you want to get from Monash Clayton campus to Swinburne Hawthorn campus. That example would take about an hour by public transport. Take the number 630 bus from Monash Clayton bus interchange, towards Elwood. Get off that bus at Huntingdale railway station (North Rd and Haughton Rd). Then from platform 1 of the railway station, catch a train towards the city (Flinders St) but get off at Richmond railway station and change to a train on the Belgrave, Lilydale or Alamein lines. Get off at Glenferrie railway station and its a 2 minute walk from there to Swinburne Hawthorn campus.
