Where is the best place to live in victoria?

  • Hello, my family and I are planning to move to Victoria. We would like a place that is family friendly and has a primary and high (public) school. I would love to move near where it snows we don't mind the cooler weather. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you oo forgot to add close to a shopping centre, with jobs around and not to expensive rent thank you again

NOT Melton, Narre Warren or Doveton. They're all low socio-economic suburbs and have more than a tolerable number of rednecks living in them (all located in the outer suburbs of Melbourne) and be weary of the other locations listed on here as some of them are also outer suburbs of Melbourne and the outer suburbs of Melbourne are generally, but not always, as good as the inner or middle suburbs of Melbourne but still better than rural areas (outside of Metropolitan Melbourne). Generally, the closer a suburb is to Downtown Melbourne, the better. I recommend this site for information on Melbourne's suburbs: http://www.cityhobo.com/index.php The areas listed in the other answers are no more colder than other parts of Metropolitan Melbourne, unless they're located around the Dandenong Ranges. Snowfall is extremely rare in Metropolitan Melbourne. Good luck!
