What is life in Melbourne AUS and/or Australian Catholic University like?

i am hoping to attend Australian Catholic University in Melbourne for semester 1 in 2010 and I am excited! I just don't know anyone who lives in Australia and and have loads of questions. i am just trying to get more info on what life is like there, what the night life is like, what living near campus is like (I am looking at Cambridge Court apartments about .3 miles from campus?), what is there to do, how welcoming the school is to international students, how rigorous the courses are and anything else! if you have ANY information, just let me know! thank you :) any stories on what to expect (or what you didn't expect that happened) are welcome. i am trying to get real life information from students or people who actually have been/live in Melbourne! If it helps, I am looking to study Psychology and I am also looking at ACU Brisbane. How would they compare? also i read that the student population was 18% international students, did that have an impact on your experience? thank you!
