What's student life at Boston University like?

Whats student life like in Melbourne?

• Im just curios to know before I apply to a university in Melbourne- what the student life is like? is it easy to fit in quick meet new people etc

  It's very good, a good experience and a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend living on campus (or a student accommodation) because it helps so much in making friends (ESPECIALLY if you have few hours and only a lecture of two a week. Some of my friends have felt it difficult living in a house with students from other colleges because they are not included in the 'uni scene' and it's hard to make friends if you only see someone for a couple of hours once a fortnight). At the beginning of the year and all throughout, they have events and some kind of social event just about every w/end (from Uni balls, dress up and themed nights, pub crawls, activity nights, everything!) so you never feel lonely and it's basically impossible not to make friends. From what I've seen with myself and all my friends, the on campus accommodation basically becomes your home and all your 'friends' are basically your family. Melbourne is good because it's so multicultural also, many international students and it's not hard to make friends, as long as you include yourself and just be yourself.
