Which is the Better city to live in out Sydney and Melbourne?

Melbourne would be the best place to move at because.............. Its mostly safe, it has alot of public transport, the nightlife at the city is just awesome!, there are many resturants, clubs, bars, etc But violence in Melbourne is common but its not highly dangerous. And there are so many big shopping centres in Melbourne aswell. btw its also fun here especially if you are older then 18 years old and you have a car :D But on the other hand, Sydney wouldnt be a good place to stay nowadays. Because there are so many fights on the streets. There are also lebanese people sexually harassing australian women. and dont forget about the cronulla riot! It was like a war between 2 countries in one city. -_- And Melbourne schools are good to if you have children

I've lived in Sydney my entire life, I'm 19. Generally Sydney is the busiest, I find people here are more rude to be honest and I'm not saying everyone. It's just very hectic here and everyone is on the run constantly. Sydney's nightlife is the best though, we have Darling Harbour in the city and it's just amazing. The atmosphere is brilliant and there are a range of places to go to such as bars, pubs, clubs, bistros and restaurants etc. Shopping in Sydney is good but I've been to Melbourne twice and the shopping there is so much better than what we have here. There is a far wider range of shops that we don't have in Sydney, food is so much better i.e. fruit I noticed was much better quality. There is more of a variety of shops and a lot of markets. Violence is found everywhere, I don't think there is more or less of it in any particular state in Australia. Transport, I can't really comment on as I don't take public transport here but I can say that Melbourne's transport services are great. I can't imagine living anywhere else really as Sydney has always been my home. Melbourne is more layed back and easy going, better shopping and the air is better. It's nice as well!
