If i live in Melbourne can i get my license in Sydney?

I was born and lived in Melbourne up until the age of 25 years of age. I got my Drivers license at 18 year old in Melbourne. When i was 26 years old, i got marrid and moved to sydney. Taking my car, which i had also purchased in Melbourne. Basically , the bottom line is. You have to transfer your license and car to both NSW registration and NSW Drivers licencse within 6 months after arriving. The drivers license is easy. They just hand you a new one. After checking with Vic roads about your driving record. Its as easy as that. If your record is clean. They just hand it to you, after a small cost is payed. You DO NOT have to take the test again. Transferring a car registration is a little bit more complicated. But still easy. You just have to get two certificates. The fist being a Blue slip. Which is certification from a qualified mechanic that the car is roadworthy. The second certificate is a rego check. The third certificate is from your new car insurance, which is a greenslip. Taking all those certificates to Syd Roads. You hand over your old Victorian license plates. They give you new NSW plates. Along with registration sticker for your car. Its actually all pretty easy once u ask questions. Dont hesitate to ask because they will help you. In regards to how they will know, If u get a speeding ticket, followed by a second speeding offence. its all on record how long you have been in a particular place. Putting that togethor with other forms of ID. They can gather the information they need to fine you if you dont change over.
