Where is best place to live in Victoria ?

  • I'm looking to move out of my home town in near future and I was wondering where is the best place to live in Victoria? & tell me why? How much houses roughly are What the people are like And most important what's employment like? Help me out plz

  • Answer:

That really does depend on what your lifestyle is. I personally love the Mornington Peninsula. because it is only about an hour from Melbourne and yet you have the wonderful beaches, both bay and ocean and such picturesque scenery. There are lots of wonderful golf courses, restaurants and shops. as well as good medical and hospital facilities......what more could you ask for? The Peninsula is within easy commuting distance of Melbourne and surrounds and there is a regular train service from Frankston to the City as well as an extensive bus service that links you to most areas of Melbourne. Employment is easily obtained in most fields, the percentages are the highest for years. Houses vary in price from the 300K to 1 million plus depending on the area and the proximity to the beach. Portsea, Sorrento, Mt Martha and Mornington have some of the highest prices while parts of Frankston, Rosebud, Dromana are at the lower end of the scale. there are also many rental properties available from flats to units to houses at varying rental rates. It is very hard to generalise on what the people are like....how long is a piece of string? In the more expensive areas you will find more professional and retired people, in the cheaper areas you will find more working class populations. There are great schools including both state and private primary and secondary and Frankston has a TAFE college and Monash University campus. There are many other beautiful areas in Victoria, the Yarra Valley, the Dandenongs, Gippsland, Mt Macedon, Daylesford, Geeelong, Bellarine Peninsula, the Grampians, Ballarat, Warrnambool, Phillip Island......I could go on and on. It is just such a diverse and beautiful state, it really just boils down to personal preference. I hope you manage to find somewhere that makes your heart sing!

Depends if you're city or country minded and what kind of job you're looking for. The towns are pretty depressed, and I think the houses are becoming more expensive.
