What activities besides skiing and snowboarding are available to do at the Victorian ski resorts?
-
My husband wants to take the kids skiing but I am not much of a skier. Is there much to do that doesn't involve skiing/snowboarding? I'm looking for stuff to do with my kids but also on my own when they're off in classes.

Answer:
If snow isn't really your thing and you are staying up there for a few days, try to book a place that has a day spa. There are lots of lodges to stay at Hotham and some of them have day spas, you can get messages and facials too. There are also a number of bars at Hotham you could visit. Check out the Hotham homepage; www.mthotham.com.au it has all the info you will need including lodge info. Hope this helps

Well work at a ski resort and usually all of them have a lobby. There some places have a wifi signal broadcasted. You can get on the internet thatway. there is also tubbing but i dont think its much fun going by yourself. but you should try snowboarding. once you get the hang of it, youll have a blast

There are a number of things to do in and around Melbourne. Check out http://www.visitvictoria.com/ for a calendar of events and other fun ideas. Also, to see whether or not it'll be snowy when you visit, check out http://www.onthesnow.com/AU-AU/skireport.html for updated Australian snow conditions.

The resort probably has a tubing park. Kids will love it! You could also build a snowman together or have a snowball fight. While the kids are at lessons you could go shopping or to a spa. Ask your concierge for some ideas too!

taboganing is always fun for the yougens or even just go have a picnic in the snow with soup, hot chocolates and do activities such as make a snow man and make snow angles.

There will be toboggans and tubes you could also do with the kids, build snowmen or have a snowball fight. Theres normally some shops at the resort. Enjoy a nice hot chocolate by the fire.
according to my sources drinking is also popular at victorian ski resorts, particularly at night
