What's the best university in Melbourne?

Is it easy to get into melbourne or sydney university (Under Graduate)?

• Hi, so im a junior in a US high school right now and I enter 12th grade next year. I was looking at international colleges and was particularly interested in Melbourne University to apply to next year. I was wondering whats the city like in Melbourne, in terms of things to do, lifestyle etc. Also I have all the requirements for oral health undergraduate (I want to be a dental surgeon) . I was wondering if you meet all the requirements as an international student, does that guarantee you admission because I heard that Australian universities are really easy to get into. What is the acceptance rate for the school because I looked around the website but couldnt find it My friend told me that Australian universites are really easy to get into as an international student? is this true and if it is, how come alot of them like melbourne, queensland, and sydney university are like in the top 100 colleges of the world? Are there any other good colleges in melbourne in which a US citizen international student could go to. Also last question, for Australian college applications, do you have to write an essay? When i graduate even if i dont go to college in Australia I want to live there instead of the US.

  Australian universities have virtually no standards for international students (as opposed to Canadian, US, and UK universities). Also, while some Australian universities make it into the Top 100, none of them are considered top tier institutions. Indeed, Australia has no presence whatsoever in the Top 25 of any major ranking system (usually only clocks in around 40th-50th place).
