Where can I buy Firecrackers in Canberra?

I am going on holiday to Canberra in a few days and would like to know where you can buy firecrackers..
Answer:

You can't! Firecrackers are only on sale for a few days before the Queen's Birthday long weekend and could only be used that weekend. It's illegal to sell or use firecrackers outside that time.

the last time i was in canberra was in grade 6 for school camp so i have no idea but your best chance is an asian shop...whereever that is but canberra seems like a bit of a hole to be honest (sorry) so i dont think they'll be enough demand for people to stock illegal fireworks lol but yeh check out asian places, vietnamese especially

You have to get a permit first before you can buy, but most of the firework stores are in Fyshwick. Dont take them out of Canberra though, if you get caught, you will be fined
