Whats the best way to get from Gold Coast Airport to Brisbane Airport?

  • I have an overseas flight that comes into the gold coast & need to get to brisbane airport for another flight to my home destination. Whats the easiest and quickest way to do this? Thanks!

    Option 1 Train Train is probably the cheapest, and takes around 1 hour 30 mins (not including waiting time, transfer from the airport...). You'll need to get a taxi from Gold Coast Airport to Varsity Station, the train then takes you straight to the airport. See the http://www.translink.com.au website for more help. Option 2 Taxi Negotiate the price with the driver, anywhere from 160-220 depending how busy the driver is. Taxis are available at the airport, but demand around 5pm is pretty high. Option 3 Limo A sedan limo costs the same as a taxi and a stretch limo a little more. If there's a group of people and you can split the cost, this is often the cheapest, and of course, the most comfortable. There's no easy quick way, you can get a bus from the airport that goes every half hour to South port then pick up the Helensvale bus to the Helensvale station from Southport. the driver will put you right where to get off and on. and you can buy your ticket straight through. Then the train goes every half hour to Brisbane airports and it takes 1 and a half hours on the train. Or you could phone some of the shuttle bus companies which would take you to a drop off point to get another to Brisbane but that would be a lot more expensive. There are taxis of course but even then it would take probably 1 and a half hours and cost an absolute fortune.
