you cannot buy fire crackers any where in Australia they are banned as being too dangerous, and if you are caught with any you will pay a massive fine of 1000,s of dollars

The purchase and use of firecrackers is illegal in South Australia. This is due to the risk of fire and personal injury. However, for community events, you may buy a one-off permit to use fireworks - just as SAFM used to do every year for (the now defunct) Skyshow. Many councils also do this on New Years Eve. Canberra is the only city in Australia where you can legally purchase fireworks.
