What university is better for midwifery?

Best university to study midwifery in Ireland?

• I'm doing my leaving cert this year and want to study midwifery in September. I would like to to to Cork Uni, but was wondering does anyone know which is the best uni to study midwifery at (in ireland!) or is there one? Anyone studying midwifery in ireland at the moment or has done have an opinion on the uni they went to? any help greatly appreciated!

  Trinity. Trinity is the highest rated college in the country and gives you the oppurtunity of doing your work placement in the Coombe or the Rotunda; both have a good reputations (even abroad in the case of the Rotunda) and the latter being among the oldest maternity hospital in Europe and the most forward thinking in the country. But , to be honest, all degrees are the same. I for one LOVE Trinity and couldn't imagine going anywhere else but some people don't like it at all. NUI Galway and Cork, UCD, DCU, UL and Dundalk IT. I wouldn't recomend Dundalk because it would involve working in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital which has a horrible rep. Galway is the biggest "Party" college but Midwifery and nursing students don't often have time for all that a lot. Midwifery is a great carreer and I still enjoy learning about maternal issues but it really wasn't for me. One piece of advice: research it fully.
