Irish Gaelic Translation? Please Help!?

  • I am 100% Irish, my gradparents were raised in County Cork and County Kerry Ireland. When they were young Gaelic was spoken in school and in church because Ireland wanted to show their independece. My Grandma taught me Gaelic but she passed away 2 years ago and since I haven't spoken it. My grandpa has Altzimerzs and cannot help me much. I have a book in Gaelic that I purchased in Ireland last summer and I am trying to read it but I cannot understand all of it. Does anyone know a Irish Gaelic to English Translator please!!?!?!?

  • Answer:

englishirishdictionary.com is useful but you will have to find someone who can show you the main part of the word because for example all these words are road bothar bothair bhothair priomhbhothar - mainroad

Well there are no online translators (I have checked for personal use!) but there are dictionaries; http://www.englishirishdictionary.com/dictionary Oh and it's gaelige not gaelic

You should go to a tec or somewhere that teaches irish so you can get a gcse for it. Then, you can go on from there.
