How to make a travel brochure?

How do I make a simple brochure to attract people to travel to Ireland?

  • I dont exactly know how to make a brochure. If I used computer paper should I use color pencils, should I print out things instead? AND! What type of information should I include and on which side of each page? HELP!!!

    Presuming this is homework of some sort? Wish I had the internet when I was doing homework lol. Ask your teacher about whether to use the computer or draw/write things by hand. Try looking at these websites http://www.discoverireland.ie/ http://www.goireland.com/ you can find some decent photographs and copy them onto your computer (use the right mouse click to copy and save image) then read about the places and write or type the information to accompany the images. Try to choose 4 or 5 interesting places and write about the history, interesting places that visitors to Ireland would probably like to visit, scenery that sort of thing. Dublin of course as its the capital and maybe Cork, Galway, Killarney, Donegal. If the brochure is to cover Northern Ireland as well or just the Republic of Ireland? If so you will need to Google Northern Ireland tourism or something similar. The rest is down to you I'm afraid, nobody can say what you should put on which side of the page.

I should be doing something else

Keep words to a minimum, just use some good photos capturing peoples imagination and a catchy phrase then link to your website if you have one. I'd recommend using shutterfly to print them. I've used them for my wedding invities, photo books for birthdays, thank you cards. You just need some good photos and then you can customise the poster yourself. It's always good quality too. It comes from the US but it is cheap and normally takes bout 5 days.
