Can I use France Switzerland Eurail pass for Paris to Interlaken TGV train?

How to get to Ireland from Paris with Eurail pass?

• My eurail pass includes france and ireland but there are (obviously) no trains that would run from paris to ireland. Apparently, I'm supposed to take a ferry, then a bus and then I get confused. Ultimately, I want to get to Cork, Ireland. Someone mentioned that I could cross through the UK somehow or another and take that route by (bus?). Also, apart from the complications of arriving, is it worth having Ireland included in my eurail pass? I am only staying 3 days. Is there any reason that I would want to use the train that the eurail pass includes (which, I don't know) in that time frame?

  If you're looking to get directly from France to Cork try http://www.brittanyferries.ie/ On the Roscoff to Cork route. Or with Irish Ferries http://www.irishferries.com/routes-times-rosslare-roscoff.asp But they only go to Rosslare, you'd have to get a train from there. Thats a long journey though if I were you I'd look into flying into Cork airport, you can get some good deals with www.ryanair.com and www.aerlingus.com www.aerarann.com If you want to go from the UK go to; http://www.sailrail.co.uk/ You can go from any train station in the UK to any in Ireland for £29, its a pretty good deal. However I don't think that the UK is included in the Eurail ticket. The Irish rail network is not very regional, its intercity and radiates from Dublin. If you're only going to be in Cork for 3 days i'd look into day trips to Cobh, Killarney/Tralee, Waterford, maybe Limerick.
