YA changed the system,go to your YA profile page & click "how others see me" Can others now see your profile?

Lucky you said that I had my email address and phone number visible, not that that matters much anyway unless I got a witheld number calling at 3am or something lol

Yep. I noticed this the other day and like you said, previously I had had my profile set to private and I was annoyed to see my name displayed without my consent. Friggin yahoo taking liberty's again. I have a second yahoo account with the same name and somehow some troll was able to link the two since this change and I have had some nasty emails to both accounts. Its an invasion of privacy as far as I am concerned .

I checked yours and it's ok (still private). I was made aware of this the other day when i updated my Avatar and a few minutes later it changed to that grey square. I was told i could only have the grey square as my profile ia private........Too confusing for me. Any chance you could check mine and see if my Q&A are still private and if my real name is visible to everyone pleeeeease :)

I clicked on your avatar and got the usual stuff including that your Q&As are private. Then I clicked on View Profile, and got message "Something seems to be wrong". Anyway, I got no details. I think they continue to be safe.

It is soo annoying, I want to have my profile photo but if I make my page private then I have no photo only that grey avator..... I don't use that profile page at all as it is crap but would rather it was private regardless..

I have never had my profile private, but I think I heard someone else saying the same thing when yahoo first announced the changes. I think someone who wants their profile private, should be allowed this option. Too many creeps on the web and too many children on this site.

Just done what you said and it tells me that there's an error so what does that mean what do you mean re-click?

I'm not experiencing this problem but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. This site is always doing weird things like that. If it's deliberate then that is an absolute disgrace. Strange. I checked yours and Fox's and I can't see the details. Gonna try again in a bit and see. Haha so you know my name now....... Strangely I can see some people's but not others. Anyway I think I may join you in complaining. Don't mind people knowing my first name but full name is just dodge.

I have checked and everything seems to be in order and besides if they could see my name i wouldn't really care anyway because they can see if they want because i've links to my youtube page and stuff.
