Could anyone help me on a job search?

Can anyone help me get a job in Ireland?

  • I have good work experience in the police force and 11 GCSE's all graded A-C. I am looking for a 18000k + Salary, I have a full UK driving license and want to move to Ireland, but need to find a job for stability first. I work hard and I have very good interpersonal abilities including excellent communication - can anyone think of any good career/job advice or can help me in my search! the economy is ruining my chances!!!

  • Answer:

Sorry but there are hardly any jobs here I'm afraid. My b/f is about to be laid off in the next week or 2 and I'm dreading another Christmas with him on the dole. You'd be better to concentrate your efforts on finding a job in the UK for now, even just temporary work, many firms take of staff over Christmas, and maybe consider moving when the recession has eased in a couple of years. The cost of living is much higher than the UK. You will struggle to pay rent and live on a salary of 18,000 Euro.

You could start with the following websites but bear in mind that Ireland has moved from having the second lowest unemployment rate among the EU-15 countries two years ago to the second highest,
