Information regarding a passport application for a minor in Ireland?
-
I am my 16 year old son's only legal guardian. When i was applying for his passport 5 years ago i had to get an Affidavit signed by my solicitor. I am applying for a new passport for my son. Do i have to get another Affidavit or will a copy of the last Affidavit do, as my solicitor gave me a copy of the last one 5 years ago? Many Thanks.

Answer:
No, you just have to send your son's original passport, the affidavit is only necessary for the first passport.

I think it has to be recent - dated around about the same time as your application.
