How do you text from the US to France?

Can you text from Ireland/England/France to the US and Visavera?

  • I might be going to England, Ireland and France for a trip in 2013. The trip is going to be thirteen days. I live in the United States and I was wondering while im there if ill be able to text my friends and/or family from over there, and receive messages back? If not, could I call them?

    Yes, but you need a phone that works in Europe. You probably also have to sign up for International Roaming. Texting/calling/receiving calls internationally costs more, so know the cost. Call customer service for your cellular provider to ask.

check with your service provider, they'll tell whether or not your phone can be used & the costs involved You should ask them if there's anything you need to do before you text or ring America, you may find you have to use the US international dialling code with your friends & families numbers

Its very expensive to text or call when your away. The best thing to do it buy calling cards to ring home and if your family or friends have an android or iPhone then download either "ping" or "whatsapp" from the app store its free texting and great for when your traveling.
