Do extracurricular activities and such considered in Ireland?

  • I am planning on going to college in ireland and I am an American. (hopefully trinity!) I was wondering if extracurricular activities matter. I have a 3.7 gpa, all honors And some ap. thank you!

    Depends on what those activities, and how relevant they are to your final degree. For example, if you were studying drama, you'd be expected to join the university's dramatic society.

not in the way they do in the US. applications here are done anonymously and acceptances/rejections are made based on exam results alone. However, extracurriculars can look good on a CV when applying for jobs

Extracurricular activities don't matter in the least, everything depends entirely on your academic results. Trinity is extremely difficult to get into, depending on the course you're applying for you could require an A in almost every subject. Your best bet is to look up he websites of colleges and see what the entry requirements for each course that you're interested in is.
