Can I enter the UK, London twice in one year?

I am a US citizen and my son is a UK citizen We stayed in london for 5 months this year from february to june, and I want to go back in september 19, 2010 as a general visitor. will they allow me to enter the UK. will it help if my son is british citizen?

Answer:
As a US citizen you can visit as a tourist and stay for a maximum of 180 days in any year. This can be split over as many visits as you wish. Your sons nationality is not relevant.
