Why does student wants to enrolled nursing course?

Do I have to apply for a new visa to re-enter UK if I am a student under the old system?

  • I currently have a 3 years multiple entry student visa under the old UK system which will expire on 2012. I wasn't able to continue on the NVQ course which I previously enrolled, because I learned that it would no longer be relevant for my qualifications as I am already a graduate of BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) plus College that I was in wasn't able to give its students sustainable comfort. Hence, I decided to stopped attending college until I would be able to find a new course and University. However, I wasn't able to and decided to go home after. Now I want to go back under the Overseas Nursing Programme Course. Do I have to apply for a new visa??? thnx

  • Answer:

You must apply for a new visa. The rules have changed since you last applied and your current visa will almost certainly have been revoked as your college will have informed UKBA that you are no longer a student there. All education providers must now be licenced by UKBA to offer courses to non EEA nationals and if you fail to enrol or your attendance or progress is poor, they are now obliged to inform UKBA which will revoke the visa. If you try to enter the UK on your old visa, you will be refused entry and returned.
