Good cheap hotels in blackpool?

For my best mates 18th i want to take her to Blackpool for 3 nights. i have looked on line but i always here bad things about hotels down there. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a really good hotel that doesn't cost the earth and its close to Pleasure Beach, it also has to be kinda close to decent night life, it is her 18th after all. Anyone help??
