Tour companies for Scotland & Ireland?

  • I'm in Canada and am looking for tours that are strictly Scotland with Ireland and other than Globus and Trafalgar I can't seem to find any and with those I can't find a Scotland tour that included Isle of Skye along with Ireland. You either get too much of one Country over the other. We would like to do more in depth Scotland with the Highlands and a day or two in Ireland for 12 days max...any tour company suggestions...and we prefer a escorted tour as it's more convenient...

    for Scotland there's quite a few ideas on this website http://www.visitscotland.com/shop/holiday-packages/tours/ and for Ireland there's http://www.exploringireland.net/coach-tours-page.html I think rather than looking for one company who would organise the whole thing for you, you might be better splitting it down a bit ... organise your own travel and accommodation between a couple of main places (Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh or Glasgow) and then look at tours from these places

You will find W A Shearings but I have to tell you that the majority of people who go on those sort of trips are very old. British people tend to go independently so there are not enough people interested in hiring a tour operator and guide at the sort of prices they have to charge to make a 'tour' viable. Local companies do organised trips from places like Edinburgh, so that would have to be your base. You can book when you arrive. try. Celtic tours
