How much money should I bring to england?

How much money I need to bring to England (North East) when I visit?

  • I am traveling to the North East this December. I already have an estimate of how much accommodations, and car rental will amount to, but I was wondering, with the present state of the world economy, how much money to cover dinning out, going to the cinema, gasoline, visiting attractions, and maybe doing some shopping I should bring with me? (I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked. I tried looking for it in the US site but the threads are about two years old). Any helped will be appreciated! Best regards, Rossi ☺

  • Answer:

It depends on how long you're going to be here and how extravagant your tastes are! Expect to pay around £6 for a cinema ticket; attractions go from museums which are free, to theme parks which can be up to £30 a ticket. Dining out at an everyday restaurant will cost you £20-£45 for a three course meal including non-alcoholic drinks. For shopping, whatever your $ price is in the US, switch it for a £ - a shirt costing $15 in the US is likely to cost £15 here. Petrol is EXPENSIVE - check the prices online at BP or ESSO websites. And have fun!
