Where are some of the places that you go on for field trips at English High School?

If your school is within a couple hours drive of the south coast then you can go on DAY trips to France! we did. Also sometimes on day sightseeing trips to London (we went to the Tower of London), but if your school is in or very close to London you will probably not do this, as it's expected that London will not be a novelty. for week residential trips I went to Brittany (north-western France) and the Rhineland (Germany-beautiful!) - all these trips were on ferry + coaches - school trips involving air travel are very rare. for trips within England we visited Warwick Castle and Hampton Court Palace and The Tower of London for history class trips.

At hte school I taught at, their yearly (week) trips were to Devon, Italy, Austria and a group were going to Morocco. Ski trips were to Austria etc if you were involved in that....as a New Zealander I was amazed at where they went! But each school would have its own places it goes to for different age levels and for different things so its a matter of seeing what different schools offer (ie some (poorer)schools would not offer these trips due to expenses)
