Holiday destinations for the end of September.

Where can I go on holiday end of august/mid september?

  • I live in London. I'd like to get away for a week at least,but stay in this country. i could go anytime from end of aug till mid sept. any advice/ideas?

    Cornwall is lovely (Penzance) & to Lands End, but depends if you have transport?... Lakes also good but can rain heavily, Cotswolds very underestimated but not cheap!!... Whitby is brilliant if you like Victoriana & York lovely also... Wales amazing, especially around Betwys Y Coed, I love Manchester but I'm guessing you'd want to be out of a city?.. Pleased you are supporting the British economy, well done you....

Why not overseas.............to the Isle of Wight? A real joy, especially as you live in London. You'll love the ferry trip, the countryside, the beaches, the air, the pace of life and I'm sure you won't miss the traffic. And, of course, it's only 70 miles away approx.

if London is recovering from untimely riots. try go to France, Italy or Spain instead.
