How can we make the UK a better place to live?

  • To make the UK a better place we should - Abolish money, make EVERYTHING (food, clothes, shoes, houses,etc) free Lower the voting age to 16 Lower the age of sexual consent to 12 Legalise cannabis with a 16+ restriction Ban alcohol, tobacco and unhealthy foods and drinks. Make abortion much more available and remove date/time restrictions Provide free contraception for everyone over 12 Provide detailed sex education to everyone over 5 Ban capital punishment Ban guns Remove freedom of speech and make any kind of hate speech (racism, sexism, homophobia) illegal FORCE new parents to attend parenting classes, failing the class shall result in sterilisation Abolish prisons for under 21's Abolish life imprisonment (it's cruel) Make corporal punishment (home and school) illegal Make streets safer by installing CCTV and microphones everywhere Install everyone’s homes with CCTV and microphones to crack down on terrorists and child abusers Make it compulsory for all citizens over 16 to have ID cards Provide everyone with a chip implant from birth to stamp out ID theft and find missing children. Make the USA a neutral country in war time Give 16-year olds more freedom from their parents Make it so citizens have to recycle by law to help the environment Pass green laws and help the environment Legalise gay, incest and bestiality marriages (not my business who sleeps with who) Legalise public nudity Legalise prostitution (16+ though) Legalise 16+ so they can work in adult films Ban religion from public places, make it illegal for churches to ring bells and ban all discussions of religion in public. Make it illegal for Jews to circumcise their sons and give them bar mitvas, ban Christians from getting their children baptised, ban Kosher slaughter and make Christmas day and working day (it shouldn't be a national holiday in a SECULAR/ATHEIST! country) I think all this will make the UK a much better, tolerant, modern and happier place.

I am pretty sure your the same person who trolls on the parenting boards, going off on one about how liberal the EU and how the USA should allow sex for children and how ALL of Europe go around naked, drink from the age of conception and have sex with each other. I think you have a problem dear! I doubt you have even been to the UK, let alone other parts of Europe.

Your Absolutely write... life imprisonment is cruel... they need to bring back the death penalty cos its cruel having overcrowded prisons and not enough space for all the major criminals..... if they do not want to go to jail then they should not commit the crime in the first place and the biggest thing to scare criminals is to threaten them with the death penalty...... the crime in the uk would go down down down down down down down down down down down down down down down.......

Your list is a weird combination of the permissive and the tyrannical. Have you read "1984" by George Orwell? I think it would lead to a highly divisive, schizophrenic society completely un at ease with itself. I'm also guessing you're age is around 16! Making Britain a better place starts with individuals and stable families. Respect, kindness and selfless attitudes would have more affect than anything written above. Creating a level playing field so that everyone has a chance is the ideal, reducing the gap between have's and have nots. What every democratic country is reaching for is the Utopian society, the perfect system. How that is achieved is indeed complicated and continually under development.

Capital punishment is already banned. How does forbidding people the free practice of their religion, and removing freedom of speech make the UK more tolerant? That's the very definition of intolerance. You've got a weird combination of 1984-like rules (CCTVs and microphones everywhere! Forced sterilization! Make everyone carry ID cards everywhere!) and anarchy.
