How to ship things from the UK?

What are the exact steps I need to do and the exact costs, time frame and who do I contact to move to the UK?

  • I need to know in layman's terms what precise steps I need to do and how long things take and who exactly to contact to handle everything from the first step to the last. I also need to know how to go about bringing a fiance over to the states to get married here and then to return with him to the UK. I need to know all the costs and exactly what documentation I must have from the beginning of the process through to its end. I need to know the fastest way and least expensive way to do it and also how to ship my belongings over to the UK and who is the best to go with for that as far as reasonableness and reliability. Also how do I purchase a car, get an international driving permit, etc. Any and all things I will need for a successful, easy no stress move. Also any really bargain basement airfares that are available from now on, too. Plus if anyone knows of an extrmely cheap round trip airfare from the UK to here in Detroit, MI Metro Airport from 14 November through 26 November.

  • Answer:

Sorry - any move is going to be stressful. Best to contact the UK Consulate for such information as a move to UK. For airfares, check with local travel agencies in UK like expedia.co.uk, or trailfinders, etc. Once you're there. But you're travelling American Thanksgiving holidays, which is going to be expensive anyway. Better buy for your ticket from UK to home, before you leave home. You can buy tickets from UK to USA in the USA. Go to any airline website.

First thing you need to do is to check if you require a VISA to stay in the UK. One suggestion is to contact your countries embassy in the UK and ask them to assist.
