How are taxi fares calculated?

Taxi fare from Leeds airport to Liverpool,or is there a site with guide to fares?

  • I'm planning a holiday next year and it looks like things could be improved by flying back into Leeds rather than Manchester. Would anyone have any idea how much a taxi would be from Leeds airport to Liverpool? There will be four of us,it cost about £35 from Liverpool to Manchester this year. Failing that is there a site which gives guide prices for long taxi journeys? It has to be a taxi not a train or anything. Thanks.

  • Answer:

My cousin lives in Liverpool and I just typed in her postcode at the link that John has provided. The cheapest fare for up to 4 of you plus luggage on a one way fare is £119...split between 4 of you then that isn't too bad... http://www.airporttaxis-uk.co.uk/Leeds-Bradford/quotefrom.php

A TAXI? What do you mean improved by? Price or convenience? Seriously a taxi will cost you the earth. Leeds Bradford isn't even served by a convenient motorway link. It would be way cheaper just catching a train from Leeds or Bradford to Liverpool if you really must fly to there. Or better i'd just fly to Manchester because it's more convenient for you. I'd seriously consider a train if you haven't got the money to throw around for a taxi.

Get a train from Leeds to Liverpool. Admittedly you`d have to get transport from Yeadon to Leeds City Station LOL
