How can I find my uncle?

How can I find my Uncle, settled in Scotland 35 years ago. we have no recent contact details ?

  • My father has two brothers. One of them had been setlled in Scotland around 35 years ago. For few years my Uncle had maintained contacts with us , but due to financial problems of my dad, We could not visit Scotland. However, for 30 years we have lost connection with him as he did not contacted us. Now I want to find my Uncle whether he is still alive and also his family's whereabouts. Actually I want to know if net can be used in this regard. If any other mode of searching is there, then also please suggest. Thanks in advance.
