UK Passport help!! 10 pts?

  • im wondering if its possible to get a passport sorted by 10th october.. im travelling to turkey for 1 week on the 10th, but my passport has 4 months remaining and im wondering if its possible to get a passport renewed before the 10th october.. when i renew it, it will be my first 1st adult passport.

    yeah, you'd have to go to your nearest passport office and fast-track it (expensive) and then you wait for a few hours and collect it from the office a bit later. although i'm not sure if you can do that with 1st adult passports or if that's just for getting them renewed. you'll have to check on the website. just google renewing passport fees and it should give you a list of what the cost would be.

if it is your first adult passport then no chance. You need an interview and the waiting time is a few weeks. You cannot use the fast track service. are you sure that Turkey needs six months remaining? If they do, then you'll have to go somewhere else, within the EU.

You can get it in one day but you can not just turn up at a passport office you will need to call before hand to make an appointment with them. I had to get a fast track with my daughters.

its possible,, but the only way would be to go to the passport office in person

You can do a fast track but I believe they charge an extra £50, but they will do it within 48 hours. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Passports/index.htm

the best thing is to contact your embassy, they will let you know exactly if you can get your passport on time before you travel.
