Where is a good place for a young person to live in Philly?

Im Moving to the UK In 2 months. Just wondering what a good place for a young person to live would be?

  • I am 25, Australian and i currently live in sydney city so im looking to move somewhere with lots of shops, bars, clubs, cafe's and friendly people. I want to live close to the main part of the city. the maximum id want to travel to get to the middle of the city would be 20 minutes on a train.

    The Newcastle upon Tyne area would probably be ideal - it has Europe's largest shopping centre nearby (Metrocentre), and the nightlife is supposed to be excellent. The Geordies will almost certainly welocme you, and the Metro system and excellent buses (bar those provided by Arriva) mean wherever you are, you're close to the city centre!!!! If you want to talk to someone from the area - just drop me a line :)
