Visa requirements for South Africans visiting the UK?
-
I am a South African Citizen, who has been working in the Republic of ireland for the past 8 years (legally). I have permanent residency, and was wondering how the new visa requirements to the UK may effect me. Ireland and the UK are within a common travel area, so you don't technically need a passport to travel between them, so do I need a visa to visit the UK, or go to Northern Ireland, as I have a visa for the republic? Can anyone shed light on this, as if I need one I would rather get one even if the chances of me being caught are zero.
