What courses should i do do have a job in apple,microsoft etc?

Due to rising unemployment in Britain, will job centre staff put less pressure on long term job seekers?

• Over the next few years unemployment will rise rapidly in the uk. The government doesn't want to recruit any extra job centre staff, so that means there will be much less time to deal with each claimant. That means less pressure on the long term job seeker. At the moment a lot of pressure is put onto jobseekers especially the young unemployed. I mean it's all for the good but they can be a bit overpowering and pushy, bit like high pressure sale man. Job seekers have to go to seminars, re-start courses work programs etc sometimes it's like been back at school. I know it's all to help but maybe they will get a break if there are not enough staff to deal with everyone. I mean there are no jobs anyway and even fewer next year, so it makes sense not to put so much pressurecon job seekers if they do not have the staff. So will this make it happen?

  Good question and the answer depends on a few issues. Below is just my opinion. The unemployment rate is influenced by the number of people actually seeking employment in the past 4 weeks. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unemployment). If more people are in the job centre and staff are seeing them, they count as unemployed. If they just stay on the dole, stop being seen at the job center or stop seeking work or they get put onto some kind of retaining program, they stop being counted as unemployed for statistical purposes. The government will try to reduce long term unemployment by applying more pressure on the unemployed to get jobs or directing them to participate in what ever program is flavor of the month. The programs may not work, but it ensures that the government is not soft on the unemployment issue and they may be able to remove the person from the number of unemployed if it can be show they were in training and not pursuing work. However, if the job center backs off the percentage of unemployed can go down because people stop looking for work. They get no help and give up looking, which means they are not technically unemployed for the statistics. Yes, there still will be lots of unemployed people, but the statistics office will only count those actively pursuing employment. How can that be measured? In part through the activity at the job center, which is not seeing as many people. Also, because staff numbers at the job center are not being increased there is potentially a threat that staff could be cut to reduce costs. So job centre management and staff have to show their worth to keep their jobs. But as you mentioned, with increasing numbers of unemployed and without increase in staff, the job center will not be able to do their job effectively. Which may indicate how the government is planning to deal with the issue. The government can make the staff work harder and appear to be doing their best to deal with the issue but they know it won't work and allow the long term unemployed to disappear by putting them into a training program or some other means that makes them not part of the unemployment numbers. There are no jobs, so the only way to make the numbers look better is with a shell and nut game of moving the unemployed into another status. One final note, Job Centers vary in how pushy they are. I was in South London and it was okay because they knew there were no jobs, moved to North London and they were more pushy.
