Where should I study abroad to, cork, Ireland; Leeds, UK; or London, UK?
-
I'm from mid-western America and am planning on studying abroad for the 2012-2013. Before I start mercilessly working to save up the money, I'd like to settle on a program. I've knocked my choices down to the National University of Ireland (Cork), the University of Leeds, and the University of Westminster. (If it helps any, my main focus in school is going to be computer programming and graphic design. I'm not sure if any one university is more equipped for that or not.) Either way, I'm just looking for some foreign opinions and advice on which university is the best or which city has the most to offer in terms of a balance between modern and traditional, sites to see, and preferably lowest/fairest pricing on everyday things. Thank you very much, I can't express how thankful I'd be for any help. I'm completely clueless and can't find any websites with enough info for a full comparison >_<

Answer:
London is best, but it is the most expensive, especially in terms of accommodation and travel. You need to look at visa information first, you may not qualify. The rules have been recently tightened up.

Avoid London. Westminister Uniersity is rated the SECOND WORST place for IT studies in the UK. That means even if you work hard, your qualification will be treated as garbage by employers. I would not employ anyone from this downgraded technical college. Leeds Uni. is good BUT Leeds Metroplitan is dreadful. So. I would go to Cork. See the Wiki Link.

London is Very Very Expensive. Being from Leeds I will say here, the Leeds University (not to be confused with the Metropolitan) Computing Department is very well regarded. They have done some superb work in mapping and map rendering. And the City has everything, including a brilliant night life, and the best shopping outside London. Also we are a very friendly lot. Cork I'm sure will be quite good, and certainly not as expensive as London.
