    York - you could spend weeks in York and not see everything, but for a weekend I recommend York Minster and the old parts of York that are very close to the Minster. Also, walk the Bar Walls (Roman). Castle Museum and Cliffords Tower. Castle Museum is fabulous and you could spend an entire day there, so if the weather is bad, head for the museum. If you are going to the coast, go to Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Flamborough.
